ATLASSIAN PRACTICE · COMPLIMENTARY MATURITY ASSESSMENT
Discover what matters most in your Atlassian environment.
Deeper than a generic health check. More focused than a comprehensive assessment.
A complimentary, expert-led evaluation of your Atlassian environment, or a bounded part of it. Senior Atlassian consultants work directly in your environment and finish with a readout of prioritized, actionable findings on governance, operational risk, efficiency and business value.

Seven dimensions we look at
- 01Governance and administrationOwnership, admin responsibilities, configuration discipline, change control
- 02Configuration and maintainabilityCustom fields, workflows, schemes, spaces, app landscape, duplication
- 03Security and access controlsPermission patterns, identity controls, admin privileges, obvious gaps
- 04Licensing and commercial efficiencyLicense utilization, Marketplace app overlap, avoidable spend, renewal exposure
- 05Process and platform alignmentRepresentative workflows; mismatches between configuration and how work actually runs
- 06Automation, AI and consumptionAutomation inventory, errors and consumption, risky rules, Rovo and usage-based pricing controls
- 07Adoption and business valueUsage indicators, reporting usefulness, capabilities you pay for but do not use
What you get
A maturity profile
Across the seven dimensions on a five-level scale, with the evidence and limits behind each rating. Where we cannot judge, we say "not evaluated" rather than guess.
Prioritized findings
Findings that stand on their own: what we observed, why it matters, and a practical direction for action. Every rating is tied to evidence.
A readout
A working session with your sponsor and stakeholders, and a plain view of what, if anything, is worth doing next. If the evidence justifies no further work, we say so.
ILLUSTRATIVE FINDING · AUTOMATION & CONSUMPTION
Observation: Of 642 automation rules, 19 generated 78% of 1.9 million executions over 30 days. Seven of those showed recurring failures.
Impact: Concentrated consumption and repeated failures create reliability risk and exposure to usage-based charges.
Recommendation: Review the 19 high-volume rules first, resolve the recurring failures, assign owners, and establish consumption monitoring.
Figures are fictional, for illustration only. See the sample readout below.
How it works
- 1
Discovery
Sessions with your sponsor and key stakeholders: purpose, pain points, and where the boundary sits.
- 2
Hands-on investigation
A senior consultant follows the strongest signals rather than a fixed checklist. Read-only conduct, no production changes.
- 3
Prioritization
Evidence is interpreted and ranked by a senior consultant.
- 4
Readout
A working session to walk through the profile and findings and agree what you want to do with them.
Focused by design
Broad coverage with selective depth, up to 16 hours of senior effort. Scope is agreed upfront; for large estates, one site, one instance, or one business unit.
Not a comprehensive security audit, a migration assessment, or an organization-wide process review. Areas we could not evaluate are recorded as such in the readout.
For organizations with a named platform owner or business sponsor who wants a clear view of where to improve.
See a sample readout
This is what a readout looks like: a fictional company, a maturity profile with current and target levels, evidence behind every rating, and five findings ranked by risk, cost and effort. All figures are invented.
Where this fits
The assessment is complimentary and stands on its own. Where findings justify more, the natural next steps are Retained Platform Engineering for ongoing governance and improvement, a targeted engagement, or Licensing & Commercial Optimization when spend is the main finding. Migrations are scoped separately; see Cloud Migration & Consolidation.
